Welcome Cassandra!

The last 6 months have been both intense and very rich in a humane way for CANU. The arrival of Cassandra Poudrier in the team as a program manager is undoubtedly our biggest achievement.

Cassandra retired last spring from the professional hockey team Les Canadiennes de Montréal. She was able to get acquainted with CANU during her year as a participant of the very first edition of the Champions beyond the code program.

You will see she does not mess around with the puck!

Welcome Cass, we are happy that you have chosen us.

Champions beyond the code : a transition program that is the talk of the town!

The success of the first edition of the Champions beyond the code co-development program is the talk of the town!

In a dossier presented by Pascal Milano in the pages of the newspaper La Presse, Maxime Boilard, OLY – the initiator of the program – talks about one of the objectives pursued by the program :

The common denominator among the participants who were part of [the co-development program] is that they wanted to go beyond their athlete’s code. […] We want to help them take a step back to gain a new perspective over the code that served them as athletes.

At war, if you do your job right, you can die

I just finished reading the latest blog post of Stéphanie Dupuis, founder of THEMA.

I couldn’t help smiling while reading it and one quote really caught my eyes :

At war, if you make a mistake, you can die.
At war, if you do not do your job, you can die.
At war, if you do your job right, you can die.

Read my reactions and reflexions on her blog here.

Leave some extra room for courage, would you?

DSC_0269During my late-teenage years, my view on courage was deeply influenced by the movies I used to watch on the big screen. A blazing kind of courage portrayed by actors with bulging muscles – the very incarnation of power. The kind of show that hits you in the gut!

That being said, can courage be expressed on a day-to-day basis in a more traditional context?

An emotional closing with Ganotec

CANU - Mandat Ganotec

On May 12, we accompanied the management team of the industrial entrepreneur Ganotec as they successfully completed a nine-month program entitled: Learning to Win as One Team. The gathering, in the format of a closing ceremony, included a medal presentation reminiscent of the ceremony celebrating champions in sports.

It was a moment to recognize the progress and contributions of each member of the management team in the CANU program. Overall, the experience included a series of development activities, on and off company premises, as well as several individual coaching sessions. The closing was also an opportunity to use the learnings to identify the next steps in achieving a new performance threshold.

Be on the lookout for the case study on this mandate which will be published this Fall. It will allow you to discover, among other things, the various activities undertaken to contribute to the goals of Ganotec’s leaders.

These leaders all share one thing in common: their respective organizations are undergoing historic change. Whether achieved through new leadership, strategic shift, or cultural change, optimized performance is the end goal for our clients.
